GEM’s Dzaleka class of 2021 came together to celebrate Summer graduates.
Alongside our in-country partner, Jesuit Worldwide Learning (JWL), we were able to celebrate our first in-person graduation in more than a year. Among those in attendance were several GEM and JWL leaders who made this day possible, including Wongani Banda and Joseph Dusabe, as well as academic advisors and GEM graduates Prince Lokendo and Desire Patience. Dzaleka’s graduating class celebrated nearly 20 students, including refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and Rwanda.
